The first one I ever shot was in Sheffield, during my second year of uni. I was 19, didn't really know what I was doing, and had the best day ever. I came home knowing this was what I wanted to do for a living, even if I didn't fully appreciate it at the time. It gave me the bug, and I haven't put the camera down since.

One of the unspoken questions for couples thinking about videography is: what will it actually feel like to have someone filming us all day?
The honest answer: as little as possible.
When I'm at a wedding, I'm actively trying not to be noticed. That isn't accidental — it's the core of how I work. The less I interfere, the more honest your film becomes.
During the moments that matter most, I stay quiet. The vows. The speeches. The wobble in someone's voice halfway through a sentence. I don't talk over them. I don't prompt reactions. I record long takes, capture multiple angles, and let things breathe. So when you watch it back later, it feels immersive without feeling staged.
During hugs and congratulations, I'm anticipating rather than reacting. (Most couples hug over someone's right shoulder. So I position myself accordingly. Small things like that, all day.)
The only time I'm slightly more hands-on is during couple portraits. Even then, I don't pose you. I use prompts:
"Let's go for a walk." "Turn and face each other." "Just talk to each other for a moment."
The best footage tends to happen in the in-between seconds: the laugh after the prompt, a glance between you, the way your hands find each other naturally.
